As we approach another Gameplay Weekend, we are excited to announce a completely new system that will further diversify and add depth to your experiences within the World of Ravendawn making exploration and completionism even more rewarding!
Welcome the Artifacts! Rare and collectible, Artifacts are shrouded in mystery, waiting for you to uncover them. The time has finally come to start searching for these collectibles you've been eagerly anticipating ─ yes, Artifacts will be available starting tomorrow, September 14th, 2023!
According to our Roadmap, this system was originally planned only for the Official Launch. However, we always like to deliver more than expected, and we have been working hard to ensure that the Open Beta brings the best and most complete experience possible to all players before the launch.
Some players have already discovered some clues about certain Artifacts around the world, and we knew that implementing this system would be special for this Open Beta because of that. Without further ado, let's dive into the world of Artifacts!
Unveiling the Artifacts
Artifacts are collectible treasures of mystic wonder, coveted for their power to reveal new adventures, new trade opportunities with NPCs and other hidden secrets! You won't use them as equipment or trinkets; instead, these items serve as prerequisites for receiving certain rewards that will enhance your gaming experience!
As you progress your character, explore the world and engage in various activities within the Ravendawn Universe, you will obtain and collect some of them. Let's take a closer look at how and where you can find them?
Artifact Hunting: Here We Go!
Collecting Artifacts shall not be a task easily undertaken, but it shall undoubtedly bestow its rewards upon those who commit themselves to this journey! Following Ravendawn’s philosophy, there are different ways to obtain these collectibles, which means you can and should engage in various activities if you want to enjoy the rewards they have to offer.
Artifacts can be obtained by completing Story Quests & Dynamic Events, participating in some Open World activities, interacting with NPCs, through rare creature drops, and, of course, through extensive exploration!
Each region of Ravendawn has its own set of Artifacts, and you can easily check how to obtain them and what their rewards are, as well as track your progress in each of the following regions by opening Journals (J):
Sajecho Island
Seek out Lost Shipments to uncover the secrets of this region's lost treasures.
Harbor Isle
Obtain unique Pirate Earrings to earn the respect of other Pirates.
Hadarak Desert
Collect Ankhs to unlock hidden ancient tombs in the Hadarak Desert.
Pirate Isles
Raise the Jolly Rogers flag and embark on daring quests as a legendary pirate.
Gilead
Decode the mysteries of Ancient Runes to access ancient knowledge.
Glaceforde
Harness the power of Frozen Sigils to conquer the icy challenges that await.
Zephyr Vale
Unveil the enigmatic Veils and explore new realms of wonder.
But stay tuned: the number and availability of Artifacts vary from region to region. In places like Sajecho, Lost Shipments can be obtained repeatedly, allowing you to collect multiple of the same type through activities such as hunts and Environmental Quests. However, in regions like the Hadarak Desert, there are unique Ankhs, meaning there is only one way to acquire each of the region's Artifacts!
