Patch Notes 1.0.0

Czwartek, Styczeń 11, 2024

"We are very excited to share with you all our first Official Patch Notes for 1.0.0 (Release Patch) of Ravendawn Online! These are new features, changes and balances that we have been hard at work on in the last 3 weeks since the end of our Final Open Beta. Most of the team took a much needed break during the Holidays, preparing for the busy Release ahead, but I hope this is but yet another example to you all how much we do in a short turnover, as a testament to you all in how much we care about the world we are creating.

While an MMORPG is never done, and there are always new features we want to add, and balances that are required as meta's change, and some of those decisions you might not all always agree with, we promise we will work tirelessly to make Ravendawn a passionately developed & special MMORPG experience for you all for years & decades to come 💗"

- From Knighter, Game Director

Added two new gear Grades: Celestial and Ascendant ー Both were added right after Arcane, so any grade after them was pushed forward. Grades pushed forward had its stats proportionally increased. New grades also have new border colors.

Applied adjustments to the credit when killing creatures in Story Quest tasks that require counting the number of kills — Instead of registering only the last hit, it will now count for everyone who dealt damage to the creature within 3 seconds before it dies (6 seconds for a boss). When in a party, it will be shared with nearby members.

Applied adjustments to the Rested Experience ー Instead of increasing a percentage base on the Legacy Level, it will now be a flat amount based on level ranges.

Applied adjustments to Breeding Limit ー When the breeding limit is increased after breeding a Moa, it will now consume a use after completing the mating phase (first), instead of Maturing Phase (last).

Added Click to Walk option by default in-game This feature can be disabled on Settings.

Trading between players is only unlocked once both players involved have reached 2000 Reputation Points.

Increased the minimum Level for PvP to 20 ー The minimum level to join Warmode Channel also changed to 20.

Increased the amount of resources needed for Crafting Tier 3+ items.

Increased the Marketplace tax (Buy and Sell offers):

◈ Sell Offers: 4% upon listing, 4% when selling (half for Patron)

◈ Buy Orders: 8% upon listing (half for Patron)

Increased the Land tax cost for all land sizes:

◈ Small Land: From ~5000 to ~8000 silver

◈ Medium Land: From ~7000 to ~15000 silver

◈ Large Land: From ~11000  to ~33000 silver

◈ T3: From 250 to 375

◈ T4: From 500 to 750

◈ T6: From 2500 to 3500

Dawn Essence

Added Dawn Essence ー Dawn Essence is an untreadable resource gained as players progress in-game (Coming from North Star Quests & Supplybags), used to obtain RavenPacks. Previous sources that provided RavenCards will now provide Dawn Essence instead. This change was made to allow for more consistent Dawn Essence drops from Supply Bags, instead of a very low chance to get a RavenPack.

Equipment Breakdown

Unused Equipment stockpiling is a common occurrence in MMORPGs, especially long term, driving their price in the economy down. While some level of this is normal, as previously exclusive Tiers of gear become more commonly available, having a strong floor is incredibly important to make sure that Equipment always has value.

Because of this, Equipment will now be able to be broken down into Dawn Essence, which can then be used to obtain RavenPacks. With this, extra Equipment, whether Crafted or on the Marketplace, will always have value for obtaining or upgrading RavenCards! Selenia, located to the south of Ravencrest’s Temple, will allow you to breakdown equipment into Dawn Essence.

Tier 1 Skill Changes

Over the last month we have spent a lot of time discussing and improving how base (Tier 1) Skills feel in Ravendawn, as they are a large part of combat in the early game, and still filler in mid and late game, we wanted to make them feel more engaging and rewarding.

Because of this, most Tier 1 Skills in Ravendawn will now have a “3rd hit” bonus. What this means is every 3rd use of the Skill (on any target) will be enhanced and more rewarding to use. To keep the balance of these Tier 1 Skills the same, their base/non-enhanced version’s have been made slightly weaker:

Bash (Protection) ー Swing your weapon with force, dealing 100% (Weapon Power) weapon damage. Every third Bash deals 100% (Weapon Power) weapon damage to the main target and 50% (Weapon Power) weapon damage in a small area around you, causing 20% slow for 2 seconds to all targets.

Brutal Strike (Warfare) ー Deals 100% (Weapon Power) weapon damage to the target. Every third Brutal Strike heals you for 30% (Weapon Power) Health.

Wind Arrow (Archery) ー Shoots an arrow that deals 85% (Weapon Power) weapon damage to the target. Every third Wind Arrow fires an additional Wind Arrow at 50% damage.

Smite (Holy) ー Deals 90% (Spell Power) spell damage to the target. Every third Smite will deal 30% additional damage.

Flash Heal (Holy) ー Heals the target for 170% Healing Power health. Every third Flash Heal, heal a bonus 50% Healing Power health to the target and becomes an instant cast.

Quick Slash (Shadow) ー Slash the target, dealing 105% (Weapon Power) weapon damage. Every third Quick Slash has a guaranteed chance to critical hit.

Cyclone (Spiritual) ー Cast a cyclone, dealing 70% (Spell Power) spell damage to the target. Every third cast bounces off to 2 other targets within a medium area around the target dealing 60% (Spell Power) spell damage to the main target and 50% (Spell Power) spell damage to the second and third target. If Cyclone doesn't bounce it deals additional 20% (Spell Power) spell damage to the target.

Arcane Pulse (Witchcraft) ー Deals 70% (Spell Power) spell damage, applying a Pulse Stack that reduces target's (Defense Power) by 5% (Spell Power) per Pulse Stack for 10 seconds, up to 3 stacks. Every third Arcane Pulse, deals an additional 20% (Spell Power) spell damage.

Frostbolt (Wizardry) ー Shoots a frostbolt that deals 70% (Spell Power) spell damage and applies Frost Stack to the target. Every subsequent stack refresh the duration. Every third Frostbolt, deals an additional 20% (Spell Power) spell damage, and also applies a 30% slow to the target for 5 seconds.

Fireball (Wizardry) ー Shoots fireball at target that deals 70% (Spell Power) spell damage, applying a stack of fireball that deals 5% (Spell Power) every 2 seconds for 10 seconds, up to 3 stacks. Every subsequent stack will refresh the duration. Every third Fireball, deals an additional 20% (Spell Power) spell damage to the target, adjacent targets receive 50% and a stack of fireball is applied to them.

Oversupply

Increased the tax for every 10% above the threshold from 2% to 10% (proportional to how much is above the threshold).

Applied adjustments to the threshold calculation:

From: 10000 + (LEGACY_LEVEL * 8000)

To: 10000 + (LEGACY_LEVEL * VALUE)

The value follows the brackets below:

◈ Legacy Level: 1+: 2000

◈ Legacy Level: 10+: 3000

◈ Legacy Level: 20+: 4000

◈ Legacy Level: 30+: 5000

◈ Legacy Level: 45+: 6000

◈ Legacy Level: 60+: 7000

◈ Legacy Level: 70+: 8000

Infamy

Applied adjustments to the Infamy gain formula and Peace Zone lock durations and added Experience debt on death, which increases based on the Infamy Points:

Infamy Gain

When killing an innocent (last hit): 100 Infamy + (from 10) 25 per Level difference.
